The European Society of Radiology (ESR) is pleased to announce the initiation of a Memorandum of Understanding with the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR). EACR and ESR have jointly agreed to strengthen the relationship between the two organisations by expanding their partnership and promoting constant scientific collaboration and exchange between each other.

The areas of collaboration between EACR and ESR will involve joint educational activities, including joint sessions at the two organisation’s respective annual congresses. At the EACR 2024 annual congress to be held in Rotterdam next year, the ESR and EACR will hold a joint scientific session on the current state of cancer research and radiology’s important role in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

The ESR has numerous Memorandums of Understanding with national radiological and allied science societies and organisations across the globe. The society uses these MOU’s as a basis to improve communication, collaboration and education in the field of medical imaging, as well as advocating on behalf of stakeholders in radiology.
