TeraRecon, the largest dedicated provider of advanced visualisation solutions for medical imaging, has announced that more than 9,000 iNtuition licenses have been deployed globally.
“TeraRecon has enjoyed dramatic growth in the number of iNtuition licences deployed with the recent introduction of iNtuition CLOUD, to complement the iNtuition UNLIMITED licenses that are deployed in imaging facilities around the world” said Robert Taylor, Ph.D, TeraRecon President & CEO.
“However, even setting aside iNtuition CLOUD licenses, more than half of the company’s deployed licenses are for fixed iNtuition server systems, and each of these supports multiple users. Typically, 10-20 concurrent users are supported with a single iNtuition license, although our largest single-license deployment enables over 220 concurrent users, demonstrating the true enterprise class of the iNtuition solution” continued Dr. Taylor.
“Accordingly we estimate that TeraRecon has enabled well in excess of 20,000 concurrent users of the iNtuition advanced visualisation solution globally, and we anticipate that this growth will only accelerate with the newly introduced iEMV, iReview and iNtuition SHARE offerings, showcased at RSNA 2012, which enable iNtuition to take on an even broader role within both the department, and the enterprise”
TeraRecon offers its solutions on an independent, turnkey basis and in partnership with various diagnostic imaging channel partners. Unlike other major providers of advanced visualisation technology, TeraRecon solutions are not bundled with modalities, but are selected based on the merits of the technology, and the vendor-neutrality of the solution. TeraRecon encourages purchasers to study advanced visualisation separately from modality purchases, and to make an informed decision after an object comparison of available options.
