1st IFSO MENAC Congress

On behalf of the IFSO Middle East North Africa Chapter (MENAC), Gulf Obesity Surgery Society, Pan Arab Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery and the World Obesity Federation, it is my honor, privilege and great pleasure to invite you to the 1st IFSO MENAC congress April 12th-13th 2019 in Kuwait. In addition, we encourage you to submit your abstracts and show case your research in our congress.

As you know, our chapter was born because of the hard work put forth by the Gulf Obesity Surgery Society (GOSS) and the Pan Arab Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (PASMBS). We have a vision to establish a regional network of physicians, surgeons and allied health providers who specialize in treating patients with Adiposity Based Chronic Diseases (ABCD). In our 1st congress we are collaborating with the World Obesity Federation, the Gulf Obesity Surgery Society and the Pan Arab Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery to bring you the best and most updated scientific content. In addition, our meeting will be endorsed by IFSO, and we will have an IFSO session led by our IFSO president Dr Almino Ramos.

The Scientific and Organizing Committee of the 1st IFSO MENAC led by the Congress President Dr Salman Al Sabah has put together an excellent scientific meeting and we look forward to your abstracts. In addition, the World Obesity Federation will run their SCOPE school for the second time in the Middle East as a pre-congress course that you do not want to miss! Furthermore, you will hear the status of bariatric surgery in the MENA region in a designated session.
