Role: Clinical Education Specialist   Location: Field based UK Travel: up to 50% national

Hologic is a global medical device manufacturing business across Breast & Skeletal Health, Diagnostics (molecular and cytology) and GYN Surgical. It’s an exciting time to join Hologic we have recently acquired a number of businesses strengthening and broadening our portfolio across all divisions.

We are currently looking for a Clinical Education Specialist to join or Gyn Surgical division with a responsibility to define the medical education strategy, drive initiatives, program development, KOL engagement and coordinate delivery of medical education for the Gyn Surgical and Perinatal product portfolios within the region. In this role you will work closely with cross functional partners to develop and drive the medical education programmes. You will be an effective representative for and create positive promotion of the Hologic brand.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop and implement strategy and programmes to build on the Medical Education continuum:
    • developing offline and online training programmes
    • creating and managing web platform,
    • coordinating agency support
    • developing training resources
    • trainer database and certification
  • Identify and maintain knowledge of key training requirements for stakeholders associated with product portfolio, by discipline/specialty, role, and position
  • Engage with scientific societies and speciality training associations to identify opportunities to support and facilitate training programmes
  • Develop training resources to include collateral, documentation, equipment logistics, simulators, maintenance, and relevant tools (e.g., Clinical CORE App.)
  • Design in partnership with the Marketing Operations team promotional activity to support launch of Medical Educational programmes
  • Monitor results with outlined KPI’s and return on investment to identify future opportunities and implement improvements
  • Fully utilise H1 (Salesforce.com) to maintain key stakeholder mapping for each product segment and drive engagement
  • Support clinical publications, audits, reviews, scientific programmes, and guideline development
  • Monitor competitive intelligence of Medical Education programmes, clinical evidence, and publications
  • Liaise with sales and clinical application teams to educate and support ongoing customer facing education (e.g., masterclasses, symposia, workshops, myth buster events)
  • Attend quarterly Commercial meetings and support development of content to drive awareness and education on key programmes and initiatives

 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree with previous experience in medical devices in a role with a clinical focus and interaction
  • Experience in a commercial role with an understanding of how this role supports the key business objectives of revenue growth, profitability, and market share acquisition
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NHS
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in a clinical teaching/education role with training & development qualifications desirable
  • Independent self-starter with strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage with a range of key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully perform in an environment of multiple changing priorities 
  • Fluent in English
