We are now looking for for a Medical Advisor who will work with our portfolio in Neuroscience/Botox focusing on movement disorders and toxin science. The candidate will represent the affiliate’s medical/scientific voice of expertise for assigned products in the field of neuroscience.

This position includes Scandinavian responsibilities.

Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with healthcare professionals, experts and clinical centers; attend scientific congresses as well as local meetings, arrange training sessions, discussion forums and symposia.
  • Deliver scientific and medical education to healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare scientific and medical information on request.
  • Review and approval of AbbVie advertising material within the specific area. Ensure that medical/scientific content is correct and in accordance with regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Be a medical scientific expert in the cross-functional Scandinavian Brand Team, and provide input to medical affairs strategy, marketing strategy and commercial initiatives.
  • Contribute to evidence generation by identifying and driving local evidence generation activities and collaborations.
  • University degree in Medicine, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biology, or equivalent Life Science
  • Previous work in Health Care or Pharmaceutical Industry will be considered as an advantage.
  • Research experience from driving research projects or participation in clinical trials and preparing scientific communication is considered an advantage
  • Experience within the field of neuromuscular diseases or rehabilitation will be considered as an advantage.
  • Previous Medical Affairs/Pharma industry experience will be considered as an advantage.
  • Keen interest in developing and maintaining expert scientific knowledge within the assigned therapeutic area/product and an ability to hold scientific discussions based on recent data.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills
  • A high degree of fluency in written and oral Swedish and English is required.
  • High customer orientation.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach, able to develop and support relationships across the organization as well as with external stakeholders and the healthcare community at large.
  • Sound judgment, strong planning and organizational skills, and the ability to get things done.
  • Willingness to travel in SWE, DK, and NOR.
