ESMO Gastrointestinal Cancers Congress 2024

ESMO GI 2024 will take place as an onsite event in Munich, Germany, from 26 to 29 June 2024, as well as online, through a dedicated virtual platform.

Brought to you by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), the congress will be the place to present impactful new data in GI oncology. The scientific sessions will be complemented with high quality educational sessions and excellent networking opportunities.

In recent years we have seen remarkable progress in the treatment options available for patients with GI cancers and ESMO is committed to ensuring that there is a clear roadmap to help facilitate the implementation of new practice changing discoveries in the clinic for the benefit of all patients with GI cancers and whose wellbeing is our primary concern.

The ESMO Gastrointestinal Cancers Congress will provide global visibility for original clinical and translational research.

The ESMO Gastrointestinal Cancers Congress 2024 will take place onsite in Munich, Germany and online in a virtual format.

During the registration process delegates will be asked to indicate onsite or online participation. N.B. Onsite participation also includes access to the online platform.

An ESMO account is required to register yourself or a group.

Registration fees and deadlines

Individual registration will remain open for the duration of the congress. The ESMO Congress Secretariat must receive one completed registration per participant and the corresponding payment in EUR by the given deadlines.

ESMO membership must be active seven (7) days prior to the registration deadline for the reduced member registration fee to be applied. Please visit the membership pages to check eligibility criteria, benefits, and to complete the membership application.

* Applicable to ESMO members from developing countries only. At the time of application, developing countries are defined by ESMO according to the World Bank classification of low, lower-middle and upper-middle countries based on the Gross National Income (GNI) per capita. Beginning of June 2024, registered delegates will receive per email the registration confirmations and instructions on how to access the ESMO Gastrointestinal Cancers Congress 2024.

The ESMO Gastrointestinal Cancers Congress is a place for the global GI oncology community to present and discuss impactful new research data in gastrointestinal oncology, in a comprehensive programme also rich in high-quality educational sessions. The congress offers excellent networking opportunities in an international environment.

In the Keynote lectures, Educational sessions, Multidisciplinary Tumour Board sessions, Special Symposia, Scientific sessions and Poster exhibition, attendees will be able to update their knowledge on:

• To update oncology health care professionals on recent developments in state of the art management of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies
• To present latest insights in the molecular prevention, diagnosis and precision therapy of gastrointestinal cancers
• To provide in-depth expert knowledge in controversy areas in gastrointestinal oncology

Accreditation

ESMO-MORA: The ESMO Gastrointestinal Cancers 2024 Congress programme will be accredited with ESMO-MORA category 1 points. Recertification is necessary for medical oncologists to remain professionally certified by ESMO. It also guarantees that a certified medical oncologist has continued to update her/his knowledge and still possess the necessary skills and standards for the practice of medical oncology.
