• Uta Nennstiel

    Dr Uta Nennstiel is the head of the Bavarian newborn screening center since 1999; she implemented the newborn hearing screening program in Bavaria and a follow-up study to observe the long time outcome of affected children , she is responsible for coordination and evaluation of the the school entry examinations in Bavaria and for the development of a new program in this context (GESiK) She was responsible for following prevention projects: “Prevention of sudden infant death syndrome”, “Prevention of shaken impact syndrome”, “Prevention of CMV Infection in pregnancy”, “Ich gehe zur J1”, “prenatal consultation for parents about preventive measures in the early childhood (U0) She was responsible for two evaluations of the German newborn hearing program by order of GBA. Member of German screening commission; member of gene diagnostic commission, president of the German society of newborn screening.
