Our flagship product, the Amtec V3 DVT Assessment device, was launched in the UK in 2011, building upon our previous work in Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) detection through its predecessor, the Venometer.  The Amtec V3 combines excellent patient safety with excellent efficiency, enabling primary or secondary care service units to reduce the requirement for ultrasound scans to a greater extent than with any other recognised DVT screening pathway.  

 

The company continues to explore further advancements for DVT prevention and detection through an extensive research and development programme with a number of partners, and also markets the Waveform, a device for DVT prophylaxis during surgery. Waveform uses electrical stimulation technology to produce rapid venous blood flow in an anaesthetised patient during surgery and therefore help prevent blood clot formation.
