The role of emergency radiologists in the management of polytraumatized patients

The BIR presents a webinar by the President of the European Society of Emergency Radiology, Dr Mariano Scaglione, to mark International Day of Radiology (IDOR) and World Radiography Day on 8 November 2017.

This live webinar will discuss the crucial role of radiologists in the accident and emergency department, a role which has changed greatly in the past twenty years. Today, in a typical 1 level accident and emergency department, radiologists work 24/7 with an active role in the emergency team having a deep impact on the management decision process. They have to be available to discuss, advise and report the most critical cases in a timely and effective manner. In this lecture, the role of radiologists in the emergency setting will be explored and Dr Scaglione will discuss examples in which subtle injuries, i.e. vascular injuries, are of paramount immediate importance.

Andy Rogers, President of the BIR said “We are delighted that Dr Scaglione is joining us on this special day. Don’t miss this webinar from one of the world experts in emergency radiology.”

The live webinar is free to BIR members and will be available to members on-demand. There is a fee for non-members. All BIR on-demand webinars are free for BIR members.
