Advantech, a leading medical computing platform service and solution provider, introduced the POC-WP242, a 24” Medical Touch PC with internal power.

No external adaptor

The external adaptor is history now. There is just the power cord, no adaptor block anymore. Ideal for critical environments and efficient equipment use. The internal power supply avoids stowing away the block, less wires easy mounting, less dust risk thus better hygiene.

The system is fanless for quiet operation and energy efficiency. It delivers high-performance with a 4th generation, Intel® Core™ i7 processor. With an IPS (In-Plane Switching) display, users will experience stunning, vivid images from any angle. Even with a 24” display, the entire unit weighs less than 8kg and has a narrow profile depth of only 7cm. The POC-W242 has an IP54-rated enclosure providing control against bacteria. The point-of-care terminal has a rich connectivity profile which supports four USB ports, one VGA and one HDMI connector. It’s also equipped with two mini PCIe slots and one PCIe x4 slot for expansion cards. The unit is suitable for any image-intense, life-critical medical application.
