Role: Graduate Application Specialist – Molecular Biology Location: UK Field-based Territory: UK Contract: 12-month FTC Travel: 80%

With technology advancing at a rapid pace — growing more complex with every year — the role of Application Specialist is becoming more important and playing a larger role in the success of the business. As the Application Specialist you will support customers in all aspects of product implementation and training. You will be working alongside the rest of the commercial team to ensure effective customer adaptation and implementation of technology.

In this role you will be involved in, and responsible for, on-site installation, customer training, education and troubleshooting on Hologic’s Molecular Diagnostic products.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  •  
  • Completion of pre-site, site assessment requirements for ongoing opportunities
  • Schedule and conduct training and field support on products with customer and create educational plans pre and post installation/implementation
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance and be available to support customer with enquiries
  • Perform instrument installation and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with sales team, technical service team, customer service team and other relevant functions to support customer sites, installations, clinical trials, data collection, customer and competitive feedback
  • Drive a robust customer care visit program within territory
  • Communicate trends or customer needs to appropriate employee or department
  • Represent the company at conferences & exhibitions including responsibility for speaking engagements

To be successful in this role, you will require previous experience and skills in the following; 

  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, biomedical sciences or similar
  • Knowledge of molecular diagnostics principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, self-management, and planning skills
  • Ability to transfer knowledge and train users
  • Fluent English required
  • Valid Driver's License and flexibility to travel across the UK
