A biopsy with the Brevera is like the lights suddenly going on when you're driving in a tunnel. It makes a huge difference to actually have target control directly during the biopsy so that one can immediately see the specimens that are extracted because these are x-rayed immediately. One can know in real-time whether the biopsy has been successfully done and can have direct quality control.

This makes the entire process completely different from the conventional biopsy procedure. The biggest advantage is quality control. Improved communication with the patient is also a big advantage because the patient can be given feedback on every biopsy and can be informed whether there is calcification or not or whether another sample is required.

This significantly increases the willingness of patients during the procedure because they can get positive feedback immediately. It is incredibly valuable to medical teams and MTAs, because it gives them assurance that they are on the right track.

In case of doubt, one can stop earlier with difficult biopsies. If, for example, only two samples have been taken, or maybe five or eight, and the patient is not feeling well, or is in pain, one can stop but still know that they have already taken a representative sample.

The samples are evaluated as soon as they have undergone post-biopsy rinsing and then a pathology certificate is filled out. This results in a significant reduction in the time outlay, improvement in the workflow and improved patient management.

Hence, the process is more flexible and offers clear advantages. Things are much clearer compared to the previous methods when it only became clear retrospectively during the preparation radiography if the job had been done well. That is an advantage that is very useful.
