74. Jahrestagung der Bayerischen Röntgengesellschaft 2023

Dear colleagues, dear members,

after several years of postponement for known reasons, the time has finally come and the Bavarian X-ray Congress, already planned for 2020, can take place in Landshut this autumn!
It is therefore a special honor for me to welcome you to a lively and informative congress between October 5th and 7th, 2023 in the ESKARA hall in Essenbach near Landshut.

With two large halls, a number of seminar rooms, a large exhibition hall, several atriums and a café, the venue offers ideal conditions for hosting a congress of this kind.
Our annual conference is aimed at radiology specialists and those who want to become one. We also turn to medical Technologists for radiology ( MTR ), for whom a special advanced training program is offered in the music school next door to the ESKARA hall.
Two main themes (categorical courses) run through the programme. The first main topic is Musculoskeletal Radiology (MSK), for which a total of 4 sessions are reserved. The second main topic revolves around imaging of the nervous system and neurointerventions, also in 4 separate sessions. Further sessions will deal with radiological applications for artificial intelligence, thoracic radiology, breast radiology, tumor imaging and interventional radiology.
Simulation workshops in small groups in applied interventional radiology are also offered for those who are particularly interested. A course on accounting issues rounds off the program.

The focus of our congress is on learning and consolidating the currently important status of our specialist area. Above all, getting to know each other personally should not be neglected. There is an opportunity for this in the numerous coffee breaks and at our two evening events.

On the day of arrival, October 5, 2023, an informal get-together will take place from 7:00 p.m. in the traditional Bavarian restaurant Zollhaus in Landshut. From 5 p.m. there is the possibility of a guided city tour through the old town of Landshut.
Our festive evening will take place on October 6, 2023 from 7:00 p.m. in Landshut’s living room, the Bernlochner Festsäle. In addition to a delicious multi-course menu, there is also a colorful evening with the well-known party band Smile! from Munich.
