Concurrent with the ninth Telehealth Innovation Forum, Envision Healthcare (NYSE: EVHC) announced a strategic partnership to combine Envision’s vast array of more than 27,000 clinicians and integrated technologies for healthcare staffing services with InTouch Health’s industry-leading telehealth platform. This partnership brings together InTouch Health’s trusted telehealth network and Envision’s physician-led provider network to deliver high-quality, coordinated patient care in the acute, ambulatory and community care settings.
InTouch Health is a leading telehealth network and services provider for more than 1,300 hospital locations, including many of the nation’s top healthcare systems and hospitals. The InTouch Telehealth Network, growing at a rate of one hospital location per day, manages a clinical session every 3.5 minutes. The company currently serves more than 30 clinical specialties in the U.S. and 34 countries.
Envision Healthcare is parent to a family of physician-led companies, including American Medical Response, EmCare and Evolution Health. Together these companies care for more than 14.6 million patients and work with more than 4,600 hospitals in 2,100 communities across 41 states and the District of Columbia.
“Envision Healthcare is focused on providing quality care to patients in the most cost-effective setting, and telehealth technology is a catalyst for achieving that objective. We are excited to discover the power of this new relationship and the benefit it can have for our patients,” stated Bill Sanger, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Envision Healthcare.
“We are honored to partner with Envision Healthcare as we share a mutual vision for how telehealth can disrupt our healthcare delivery system for the better,” said Dr. Yulun Wang, Ph.D., chairman and chief executive officer, InTouch Health. “Envision’s market presence, integrated technologies and physician practice management services will enable the InTouch Telehealth physician service organization, and its long-standing physician partners, to grow rapidly to meet the increasing patient care needs across the country.”
“Many patients benefit from being cared for outside the traditional hospital or doctor’s office setting,” added Eric Beck, D.O., M.P.H., chief executive officer of Evolution Health, an Envision Healthcare company. “Partnering with InTouch Health enables our clinicians to deliver care anywhere at anytime across the continuum on the largest and most reliable telehealth platform in the U.S.”
The ninth Telehealth Innovation Forum is a premier conference for telehealth professionals to share experiences in building world-class telemedicine programs. Dr. Yulun Wang will chair this year’s scientific program, Care Across the Continuum. Dr. Eric Beck is among the distinguished faculty and will present on the Intersection of Mobile Care and Telehealth. The conference is being held July 22-24, 2015, at the Fess Parker Doubletree Resort in Santa Barbara, CA.
