The 27th European Association of Hospital Pharmacists (EAHP) Annual Congress will commence from the 22nd March until the 24th March 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal.
The theme for the presentations at the 2023 EAHP Congress is “From drug design to treatment success – what really matters to patients?”
The focus of the theme is based on the success that comes from understanding the patient’s role – their perceptions and engagementthat plays an active role in paving a patient’s way to full recovery.
The congress will provide hospital pharmacists with the opportunity to critically assess the whole pharmaceutical process from the perspective of the patient, allowing them insight to identify what is most important to them and how hospital pharmacists can accomplish this.
The ultimate aim is to inspire hospital pharmacists to manage and fulfil the patients’ needs - to provide the best possible care for patients from the initial steps of drug design to treatment success.
The four-day congress invites the hospital pharmacist community of Europe and beyond to network, learn and discuss innovative solutions in critical areas of hospital pharmacy. Over 20 seminars and workshops will be taking place, with topics linked to research activities, e-hospital pharmacy, drug shortages, procurement, ATMP, quality compounding, pharmacogenomics, renal transplant, medication safety and efforts for a green hospital.
